Business of Acting Course

Cheryl's seminar was fantastic. What sets her apart from others in town offering a similar workshop is her first-hand experience with these strategies, delivered in a manner that's both personal and free of narcissism. She's able to give specific, concrete examples from her own life to demonstrate their effectiveness and help set you on a path to implementing them in a way that works for you. Cheryl's approach is direct, useful, and inspiring, and she's just plain fun to be around!

"I have taken many acting classes and have researched the industry extensively.  It wasn't until this seminar that I felt like I had a good understanding of how the system works.  It was extremely beneficial. In addition, I loved Cheryl.  I felt like she had a sincere interest in me personally and that really made me feel important.  It's nice to know that there are good people that have established careers out there that are willing to help."

A bit about your instructor...

Cheryl Red Carpet.jpg

Hi there! I'm Cheryl Texiera and if you're an actor, aspiring actor, mom-to-an-actor or just plain thinking of making the move to Hollywood to pursue a career in this crazy business but have no idea where to start, you've come to the right place. :)

I started my journey with nothing more than a passion and unwavering love of performing. Coming from a small suburb in New York, and being the first and only actor in the family, my journey to the westside was far from easy. There were A LOT of bumps in the road and I wished, every step of the way, I could have been given a roadmap to know what step to take next. It wasn't until I really started approaching my acting career like a business that I began to experience success on a real level.

It took me three and half years before landing my first network role - playing opposite Amy Poehler in NBC's Parks & Recreation. Not long after, I started making strides in the comedy world - recurring on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Disney's Girl Meets World

There's so much of my journey I want to share with you so that you don't hit the same bumps I did - because trust me, they're not fun - they're painful - and they take TIME!  And time is the last thing you want to be wasting in this career!

My 3-Week Business of Acting Course speeds you though all my mistrials without the pain, anxiety or worry, so you can land in a place where you feel more confident about your career, ready to take it to the next level!

If you're passionate, excited, and have a love of acting like I do - you're just the type of person I want to help on their journey to success! See you in class!    -Cheryl :)

I took Cheryl Texiera's "BUSINESS OF ACTING COURSE" and I am pumped!

I've taken other Business of Acting courses, from agents and managers, and what's different about Cheryl's is your enthusiasm doesn't wane. The energy she creates in that one day, both in your belief in your ability to reach your goals, and in your understanding of how to get there, are lasting! I'm still pumped!

Cheryl provides solid advice that's been proven in practice not theory, and shares background information, on training, communication, resources, promotional material, and so much more. Do yourself a favor and attend one of her courses as soon as you have the chance. I'll be looking for Cheryl to post other training/informational courses so I can sign up!

Ready to take it to the next level?

Q: Where is this course? In person? Or online?

A: It’s all online! You can watch theses classes from the comfort of your own home. And don’t worry, you won’t be on camera, so you can even wear your pajamas!

Q: Can I still take the course if I don’t live in LA?

A: Yes, absolutely! Because it’s all online, as long as you have an internet connection, you can participate.

Q: Is there an age limit for the class?

A: No. However, because this is a Business of Acting course, I will speak heavily about the business side of things - and therefore I recommend anyone under the age of 14 to be accompanied by a parent to make sure they understand all the information.

Q: Is a teenager too young?

A teenager is not at all too young. I cover a lot! My journey has been one of many trial and errors starting from the time I was 12 all the way to where I'm at today.

Q: I’m a parent and my child wants to take this course but I think they’re too young. Can I take it for them?

A: Absolutely! In fact, I recommend it. Since child actors rely heavily on their parents managing the business side of their careers, this is a perfect course to introduce a new parent to what is expected of them in this business.

Q: Is it only for professional actors?

A: Not at all. Whoever is starting out on their journey as an actor - or aspires to be a working actor someday - or, if you're working but would like to shake things up and shift focus to book more work or build/nurture existing relationships, you'll benefit from this course.

Q: I’m an established actor already. Is this course for me?

A: If you are happy with where your career is at, I’d say you can sit this one out. But if you are unhappy and would like to make a shift, I think this could be the perfect course for you. I’ve included steps I’ve taken from when I was just starting out to after I worked opposite an Academy Award winner to move things forward. So, there’s plenty in here to open your mind and change the way you look at your approach.

Q: Will there be a lesson on acting in this course?

A: Because the main focus of this class is primarily the business side of acting, I will not be having traditional acting lessons. In Week 3 though, I will share how I prepare for auditions.

Q: What will the classes be like: A video to watch every week or similar to a video chat sort of thing?

A: The class is divided up into 3 separate videos that you can watch at your leisure.

Q: Do we have to live in Hollywood for this class to be beneficial to us? Or can you give us tips and advice for aspiring actors who live all around the US?

A: No, you do not have to live in Hollywood at all! In fact, I have friends that live and work all over the map. There is a ton of work outside of Hollywood.

I constructed the first part of this course for anyone living anywhere who wants to pursue this career professionally - even if your first step is simply showing up like a pro at your local town theatre’s open call auditions.

Q: Is there homework?

A: “Homework” in the traditional sense isn’t really how I roll. I’ve learned that in any class you ever take, you get out of it what you put in. So after each class, I recommend at least experimenting with a few lessons you’ll have learned. But everyone moves at their own pace, in life as well as in acting. So, if you’re just here for the information, we welcome you!

Q: Can we share our backgrounds in acting with you?

A: You're welcome to share your journey with me. I love knowing where everyone is at with their career/experience. Feel free to email me at

Q: I have a few more questions about the course. Can I contact you personally?

A: You’re welcome to email me with any questions you have to this email:

Please Note: I do not coach one-on-one through email.

Priceless info.
