Cheryl's class was amazing. It is a great resource for actors both with experience in the industry as well as those who are just starting out. She is extremely generous with the knowledge and experiences she is willing to share to ensure that actors are directed toward trustworthy and legitimate resources.
Cheryl is exciting and energetic so her classes are fun and entertaining! What I enjoyed most was being able to ask any industry related questions during class and she would answer them on spot! It's amazing.
I give this class 5 stars based on Cheryl's positive attitude, preparedness for every class and willingness to go above and beyond to supply helpful legitimate resources for actors! Enjoy, its worth it.

Cheryl is literally the best! With Cheryl’s knowledge, wisdom, and her personal triumphs that she shares, I can definitely say that I will take all of it with me for a lifetime. I love how you can ask questions, and she does not give surface answers. Cheryl is very passionate about acting, but also her passion ignites those who take the course. It did for me! I am truly grateful that I’ve taken this step along my journey, because Cheryl’s course will be my forever favorite.
"I have taken many acting classes and have researched the industry extensively. It wasn't until this seminar that I felt like I had a good understanding of how the system works. It was extremely beneficial. In addition, I loved Cheryl. I felt like she had a sincere interest in me personally and that really made me feel important. It's nice to know that there are good people that have established careers out there that are willing to help."
I learned so much from Cheryl! She was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of personalized information about the business side of things. She is a great listener and teacher and I feel that she really cares about my journey both as an actor and as a person. Now I feel that I'm even more ready to take my career to the next level. Thanks Cheryl!
I took Cheryl Texiera's "BUSINESS OF ACTING COURSE" and I am pumped!
I've taken other Business of Acting courses, from agents and managers, and what's different about Cheryl's is your enthusiasm doesn't wane. The energy she creates in that one day, both in your belief in your ability to reach your goals, and in your understanding of how to get there, are lasting! I'm still pumped!
Cheryl provides solid advice that's been proven in practice not theory, and shares background information, on training, communication, resources, promotional material, and so much more. Do yourself a favor and attend one of her courses as soon as you have the chance. I'll be looking for Cheryl to post other training/informational courses so I can sign up!
Hi there! I'm Cheryl Texiera and if you're an actor, aspiring actor, mom-to-an-actor or just plain thinking of making the move to Hollywood to pursue a career in this crazy business but have no idea where to start, you've come to the right place. :)
I started my journey with nothing more than a passion and unwavering love of performing. Coming from a small suburb in New York, and being the first and only actor in the family, my journey to the westside was far from easy. There were A LOT of bumps in the road and I wished, every step of the way, I could have been given a roadmap to know what step to take next. It wasn't until I really started approaching my acting career like a business that I began to experience success on a real level.
It took me three and half years before landing my first network role - playing opposite Amy Poehler in NBC's Parks & Recreation. Not long after, I started making strides in the comedy world - recurring on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Disney's Girl Meets World.
There's so much of my journey I want to share with you so that you don't hit the same bumps I did - because trust me, they're not fun - they're painful - and they take TIME! And time is the last thing you want to be wasting in this career!
My Business of Acting Course speeds you though all my mistrials without the pain, anxiety or worry, so you can land in a place where you feel more confident about your career, ready to take it to the next level!
If you're passionate, excited, and have a love of acting like I do - you're just the type of person I want to help on their journey to success! See you in class! -Cheryl :)
After taking Cheryl's Business of Acting Class, I can say that I have learned a lot from her teachings. Throughout the entire course, she was more than helpful and friendly, with a very down-to-earth personality. She wasn't afraid to share any of her experiences, even the negative ones, and really gave a sense of what some of the industry is like and used that to teach us to set goals for ourselves. Not only that, but she supplied us with tools that we can use to further our knowledge after the course was over. She always made herself available to her students and was willing to answer any questions in depth, was thorough, and everything a good teacher should be.
Cheryl's class gave me the confidence I needed to wholeheartedly pursue my career. There was a wealth of knowledge in this course and I feel much more prepared for having taken it. Since taking this class I have started filming for a short film in Seattle and am planning to start working in LA very soon. This class was invaluable!
I took Cheryl's Business of Acting Course and was blown away! She was very informative, answered questions, and gave great examples from her own experiences! She delivered it at a comfortable pace and made it a fun, exciting, and relaxed environment. I finished the class a few weeks ago and am already using the techniques and information to start my career! I highly recommend this class for anyone who wants to get into or further their knowledge of this business!
Again, thank you so so much for everything you have done for me! Not only is it helping my career, but I am so much more confident now because of the exercises you shared!
This was an excellent seminar. I learned so much and found the class to be so helpful. Thank you.
A: It’s all online! You can watch it from the comfort of your own home. And don’t worry, you won’t be on camera, so you can even show up in your pajamas!
A: Yes, absolutely! Because it’s all online, as long as you have an internet connection, you can participate.
A: No. However, because this is a Business of Acting course, I will speak heavily about the business side of things - and therefore I recommend anyone under the age of 14 to be accompanied by a parent to make sure they understand all the information.
A teenager is not at all too young. I cover a lot! My journey has been one of many trial and errors starting from the time I was 12 all the way to where I'm at today.
A: Absolutely! In fact, I recommend it. Since child actors rely heavily on their parents managing the business side of their careers, this is a perfect course to introduce a new parent to what is expected of them in this business.
A: Not at all. Whoever is starting out on their journey as an actor - or aspires to be a working actor someday - or, if you're working but would like to shake things up and shift focus to book more work or build/nurture existing relationships, you'll benefit from this course.
A: If you are happy with where your career is at, I’d say you can sit this one out. But if you are unhappy and would like to make a shift, I think this could be the perfect course for you. I’ve included steps I’ve taken from when I was just starting out to after I worked opposite an Academy Award winner to move things forward. So, there’s plenty in here to open your mind and change the way you look at your approach.
A: Because the main focus of this class is primarily the business side of acting, I will not be having traditional acting lessons. However, I will share how I prepare for auditions.
A: The class will be an all-day intensive. I have allotted 6 hours to make sure I cover everything and answer all questions.
A: No, you do not have to live in Hollywood at all! In fact, I have friends that live and work all over the map. There is a ton of work outside of Hollywood.
I constructed the first part of this course for anyone living anywhere who wants to pursue this career professionally - even if your first step is simply showing up like a pro at your local town theatre’s open call auditions.
A: “Homework” in the traditional sense isn’t really how I roll. I’ve learned that in any class you ever take, you get out of it what you put in. So after each class, I recommend at least experimenting with a few lessons you’ll have learned. But everyone moves at their own pace, in life as well as in acting. So, if you’re just here for the information, you're welcome too!
A: You're welcome to share your journey with me. I love knowing where everyone is at with their career/experience. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
A: You’re welcome to email me with any questions you have to this email: email@example.com
Please Note: I do not coach one-on-one through email.

With each class enrollment, a donation will be made to continuing entertainment education through the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.
